The NSW Utilities and Electrotechnology Industry Training Advisory Body Limited is holding its 21st Annual Conference on 20th & 21st August 2018 at Mecure Kooindah Water on the beautiful Central Coast.

The NSW U&E ITAB Conference is the key event for those involved in or interested in Utilities & Electrotechnology training in NSW and brings together rural, regional and metropolitan players in a focused environment.

This year’s conference will bring delegates up to date with the implementation of the changes to the NSW Apprenticeship & Traineeship Act and discuss how they are working.

Delegates will be updated on the NSW VET Repositioning Strategy and hear about the new $13.9 million Regional Education Partnership Program. There will also be an update on the continuing modernisation of TAFE NSW and the introduction of the Infrastructure, Energy & Construction SkillsPoint.

On a national level delegates will have an opportunity to be brought up to date with the latest developments from the various Industry Reference Committees and meet with IRC members.

The conference will also be an ideal opportunity for participants to network with other industry players and discuss how the various energy sectors will provide a bright future for Energy.

Delegates will be able to contribute their opinions in open forums discussing the future of training in the industry. This information is utilised by the ITAB to assist the NSW Dept. Industry prepare strategic plans for Vocational Education & Training in our industry sectors across NSW.

The highlight of the conference will be the Conference Dinner, with pre-dinner drinks. This will be followed by a superb three-course meal, and a social atmosphere ideal for networking.

Golfers can also avail themselves of the wonderful facilities. Kooindah Waters boast a championship golf course. Acclaimed course architect Ross Watson and former Australian Open winner Craig Parry created a golfer’s haven that has been recognised among the “Top 100 Courses in Australia” by Australian Golfing Digest magazine and named the best public golf course on the Central Coast.
